Airship Syndicate, which created Darksiders Genesis and Wayfinder, has laid off 12 full-time employees

The Airship Syndicate studio is going through hard times and had to lay off part of its team.

Here's What We Know

Airship is best known for the hack and slash game Darksiders Genesis, a project in the League of Legends Ruined King universe, and the cooperative RPG Wayfinder.

Joe Madureira (CEO) and Ryan Stefanelli (President) said that in light of the difficult challenges facing the industry, they had to make the difficult decision to lay off some members of the Airship team, including 12 full-time employees and 4 contractors.

At the beginning of this year, the managers took a salary cut, which is still in place. In addition, they are both contributing personal funds to help the studio continue working with the remaining employees.

Airship Syndicate currently employs 50 people who will continue to work on the Wayfinder roadmap and develop future projects.
