Jason Schreier: Blizzard is creating a shooter in the StarCraft universe under the guidance of Far Cry producer

The last StarCraft game was released back in 2017, and it was a remaster of the first part. However, now Blizzard is probably working on a new game in the series that will have a different formula than the previous parts.

Here's What We Know

In his new book Play Nice: The Rise, Fall, and Future of Blizzard Entertainment, which comes out on 8 October, wrote that Blizzard is creating a shooter in the StarCraft universe. The former Far Cry producer Dan Hay is in charge of the development.

However, at the time of writing, a small team was working on the shooter, so the game is probably still at an early stage of development and we will not see an announcement soon, if it is not cancelled at all. But at least we know that the company has not forgotten about this series.
