Garmin has improved solar charging on the Instinct 2 series of smartwatches

Garmin has announced the release of a new software update for the Instinct 2 series, which is said to fix solar charging issues.

Here's What We Know

This update is the first in almost two months, following a series of improvements for other smartwatch lines such as the Enduro, Forerunner, and Fenix.

As part of the new update, which is labelled as beta 17.00, users of the Instinct 2, Instinct 2S, Instinct 2X, and Instinct Crossover have the opportunity to resolve a barometer calibration issue, as well as reduce potential solar charging issues.

It is important to note that this update is the beginning of a new Garmin 17.xx software development cycle, so new features are expected to be introduced in the near future.

The Instinct 2, which is currently available for $249 on Amazon, can now benefit from significant improvements that should have a positive impact on its performance.
