Defence concern KNDS has opened a subsidiary in Ukraine, which will repair Leopard tanks, PzH 2000 artillery units and Gepard SPAAG anti-aircraft guns.
Franco-German defence concern KNDS has announced the opening of a subsidiary in Ukraine.
Here's What We Know
As it became known, an enterprise for maintenance and repair of military equipment was opened in Kyiv.
Now there is no need to bring damaged combat vehicles through half of Europe for repair, as everything can be done in Ukraine.
The enterprise will repair armoured personnel carriers, German tanks Leopard 1A5 and Leopard 2, self-propelled artillery units PzH 2000 and anti-aircraft units Gepard SPAAG.
Later, the plant in Ukraine plans to produce artillery ammunition of 155 mm calibre, which is so necessary for the war.
The opening of KNDS Ukraine LLC will allow Ukrainian technicians and mechanics to bring damaged equipment back into combat-ready condition much faster.
The Franco-German defence group KNDS has now officially opened its Ukraine subsidiary in Kyiv, called "KNDS Ukraine LLC".
