Spain confirms: Ukrainian armed forces already receive VAMTAC armoured vehicles

The Spanish Government continues to support Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression and is actively supplying the necessary military equipment.

Spanish Defence Minister Margarita Robles said that the armed forces of Ukraine are already receiving the promised armoured vehicles VAMTAC, which are similar to the American HMMWV.

These vehicles are equipped with strong armour and can carry a load of up to 2.5 tonnes, while the vehicle itself weighs almost 6 tonnes.

Margarita Robles did not specify how many VAMTACs Ukraine will receive and in what time frame, but it is known that the armed forces are very familiar with this vehicle and actively use it on the battlefield.

Journalists of the Spanish publication Infodefensa learnt that Urovesa company can produce up to 5000 VAMTAC vehicles per year, but how many are reserved by Ukraine is a commercial (and political) secret.
