Pixel Buds Pro 2 received Auracast support, but not yet for Pixel smartphones

The new Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 support Auracast, a Bluetooth standard for sharing audio with other devices without additional hardware.

Here's What We Know

This allows you to share music or podcasts with friends if your device and headphones support this feature.

Although Pixel Buds Pro 2 have Auracast support, it is not available for Pixel smartphone owners. Auracast support is not available in Android 14 and will only be available in Android 15. Users of Samsung smartphones, such as the Galaxy Fold 6 and Galaxy S24 Ultra, can use this feature now.

So, if you have a Pixel smartphone, expect Auracast support in a future update, as the feature is currently only available on some non-Samsung devices.
