Starting 15 November, Steam will no longer sell games in Germany that do not have an age rating

Steam for Germany has introduced a new rule due to laws within the country, which now makes it impossible to sell a game without an age rating.

Here's What We Know

The founder of the SteamDB service has indicated that German regulators have specified that all games must be rated in order to be sold to customers in Germany.

Starting 15 November 2024, Steam will no longer display games in Germany if they do not have a valid age rating.

This applies to both new releases and games that were released before the law was passed.

Therefore, game developers should check now whether their game has an age rating. More information about this can be found at this link.
