Samsung postpones Android 15 update until 2025: Galaxy users will have to wait

Samsung has confirmed that Android 15 will be released no earlier than 2025.

Here's What We Know

This year, Google released its new Pixel phones without the latest Android 15 update, which is already available in AOSP and is due to come to Pixel soon. However, Samsung faced difficulties during the preparation of Android 15 and the new version of the One UI shell.

The first beta version of One UI 7 was planned to be released in August, but its launch was postponed "indefinitely" due to various problems. It is noted that Samsung will release a beta version of Android 15 "by the end of the year", but the final update will not be ready until 2025.

At the SDC 2024 event, the company confirmed that the full version of One UI 7 with new AI features will be available with the new Galaxy S series, probably in January.

Galaxy users will have to wait up to 4 months or more to get the latest version of Android.
