Lack of internet is no longer a problem: Spotify is introducing a useful Offline Backup feature

Popular music listening app Spotify is about to get a major update.

Thedevelopers have announced that within a week, Spotify Premium users will have access to a new Offline Backup feature. It will allow you to continue listening to music even if you don't have access to the internet.

The app will automatically compile a playlist of queued songs that are frequently played on the user's smartphone and save it, making it available without an internet connection.

The playlist created by Spotify will be editable by selecting preferred artists and songs. The more the user listens to music - the bigger their playlist will become.

The Offline Backup option will be available on iOS and Android, and will also appear on Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

To take full advantage of this feature, you need to select the "Offline Access" option in your smartphone's traffic saving settings.
