In honour of Alien: Isolation's tenth anniversary, the game's creative director Alistair Hope has officially confirmed that a sequel to the horror game is in the early stages of development.

The rumour of the game's creation appeared in August, but it didn't sound too convincing. Recall, then Reddit user Arrick claimed that at one of the events he met a former employee of Creative Assembly, who told him that the studio has been working on the sequel to Alien: Isolation for three years.

According to Arrick's information, Amanda Ripley from the first part will be at the centre of the game's plot again, while the events of the mobile Alien: Blackout will be completely ignored.

Moreover, the insider claimed that in addition to Alien: Isolation 2 a remaster of the first part and its VR-version are being developed. The updated game will allegedly be released in October and will be timed to coincide with the tenth anniversary of the original, and the project for virtual reality headsets will be released in 2025 to avoid competition with the similar game Alien: Rogue Incursion.

Alistair Hope didn't reveal any information about Alien: Isolation 2, but neither a possible remaster of the first instalment, nor a VR project, but the fact that a sequel is in development is great news in itself.
