Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy A16 5G, which has already appeared on a European website. This budget smartphone will be the first in its class to receive 6 Android updates and 6 years of security updates, which guarantees support for the smartphone until October 2030.

What's revealed

The smartphone, as previously speculated, has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The Galaxy A16 5G is powered by an Exynos 1330 processor and also features 4GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 1.5TB via microSD card.

The device features a triple main camera (50 MP main camera, 5 MP ultra-wide and 2 MP macro), 13 MP front camera and a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. The device also received protection from dust and water according to IP54 standard.

The price of the novelty has not yet been set, but it is expected to be similar to the previous model, Galaxy A15 5G, which costs about $199. The smartphone will be available for sale in the near future, but the exact date and has not yet been announced.
