The United States tested a "robot dog" with a rifle on its back in the Middle East

The US Army has tested an armed quadcopter drone with artificial intelligence in the Middle East.

Here's What We Know

The Military publication showed photos of the Ghost Robotics Vision 60 (Q-UGV) quadcopter drone, which is equipped with combat modules with rifles based on the AR-15 platform.

These "robodogs" were used at the Red Sands Integrated Experimental Centre in Saudi Arabia during a recent anti-UAV exercise.

A representative of the US Central Command told the publication that the armed "robodog" successfully hit several training targets.

These small and highly mobile drones can perform a wide range of tasks, from reconnaissance and logistics to strike operations. Their compact size and advanced motor skills allow them to move quickly and stealthily through narrow passageways, dense urban areas and thick vegetation.

In addition, the drones can be equipped with various modules: manipulators, sensors, cameras, or even full-fledged weapons, which expands their capabilities.
