Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro may come to the global market under the POCO brand name

Today we already wrote that Redmi K80 Pro may get wireless charging for the first time in the lineup. Now it became known that the smartphone will be sold not only in China.

Here's What We Know

The Redmi K80 Pro will reportedly be sold in the global market, although it was originally planned to be exclusive to China. This change is unexpected and means that a POCO smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (Snapdragon 8 Elite) will be available in the global market.

According to rumours, the Redmi K80 series will consist of two models, Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro. The Redmi K80 will be codenamed "zorn" and will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Earlier it was believed that this codename belonged to the K80 Pro model, but it has been revealed that the K80 Pro is codenamed "miro" and will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor.

Both the models will be available worldwide except India. Another smartphone codenamed "rodin" has also been spotted, which is likely to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor and will be available across the global market. The Redmi K80 series is expected to be announced in China in November. The global announcement date of the new products is not yet known.
