OnePlus Open 2 could be released in the first quarter of 2025
According to the latest rumours, the OnePlus Open 2 foldable phone, the successor to one of the best foldable devices of 2023, will be released in the first quarter of 2025. This was reported by a whistleblower @RODENT950, who also mentioned some details regarding the smartphone's camera system.
Here's What We Know
The OnePlus Open 2 is expected to be the global version of the OPPO Find N5, following the previous generation where the OPPO Find N3 was renamed as the OnePlus Open for the global market.
It was previously reported that OPPO was considering a four-camera system from the Find X8 Ultra for the Find N5/OnePlus Open 2, but eventually settled on a triple camera like the original OnePlus Open. This decision may disappoint those who were hoping for more powerful camera hardware. However, the OnePlus Open already boasts a 64-megapixel periscopic camera with 3x zoom, which is a rarity for foldable phones.

Other leaks mention the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, less than 10mm thickness, 50 MP main camera, OnePlus' signature alert slider and water resistance. If these rumours are confirmed, the OnePlus Open 2 will be a significant upgrade over its predecessor.
