Galaxy A13 gets security update in Asia

Samsung's budget smartphone Galaxy A13, released two years ago, is getting an October security update.

This update, build version A135FXXS9EXI2, is available in some Asian countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

Galaxy A13 owners can download the new update via the Settings menu, Software Update, or manually via PC by downloading the firmware from SamMobile.

As a reminder, the Galaxy A14 will receive two major Android updates, and the Galaxy A15 will receive four.

The new Galaxy A16 5G, which was unveiled this month, promises six years of Android and security updates. This is likely to become the new standard for mid-range smartphones from Samsung.
