Ukrainian engineers have announced mass production of anti-aircraft FPV drones that will shoot down Russian attack drones

Drones of all types are one of the main weapons of the Ukrainian army. They perform various tasks, are much cheaper than missiles and allow for more targeted strikes.

For several months now, the Ukrainian military has been using FPV drones to destroy Russian reconnaissance drones Orlan, Zala and other varieties that hover over Ukrainian cities and correct missile strikes. More than 200 enemy reconnaissance UAVs have already been destroyed in this way without the use of anti-aircraft systems.

Here's What We Know

The development team known as "Wild Hornets" (Wild Hornets) reported that it will soon begin mass production of new weapons against Iranian-Russian attack drones. These will be high-speed FPV drones whose main goal is to catch up with the Shahed and destroy it. It is stated that the speed of the interceptor drone should not be lower than 325 km/h.

Production of anti-aircraft FPV-drones will be an excellent alternative to air defence missile systems and man-portable air defence systems Stinger, the shell for which, for example, costs up to $400 thousand, while the new drone model costs at most a few thousand dollars.

Since Russia is rapidly increasing production of drones and using them not only to destroy civilian and energy infrastructure, but also to deplete air defence systems, mass production of anti-aircraft drones will be an indispensable, effective and inexpensive solution to this problem.
