Insider: Avalanche Studios is preparing Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition, a massive DLC with new content and additional storyline
Afew months ago it became known that Avalanche Software studio in cooperation with Rocksteady colleagues - authors of Batman: Arkham series and failed action game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League - are working on what sources of insider Jason Schreier called "director's cut version of Hogwarts Legacy".
No official announcement has been made, but thanks to Tom Henderson, some details about the project have come to light.
Here's What We Know
According to Henderson, the novelty will be called Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition. Contrary to this name, it will not be a re-release of the popular role-playing game, but DLC for it.
Sources say that players will be offered 10-15 hours of new content, additional storyline and side quests, as well as several challenges, cosmetic items and new equipment.
The Definitive Edition will be sold as a standalone game, and those who have already purchased Hogwarts Legacy will be able to purchase the DLC separately.
There is no information about the release date of Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition, probably the release is planned for early 2025. We can assume that it will be timed to coincide with the two-year anniversary of the game's release, which, remember, was released in February 2023.
The Definitive Edition is listed as costing between $20 and $30.
