Ukrainian military received new domestic armoured vehicles "Novator"
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have received a new batch of Novator-2 armoured personnel carriers of domestic production. The 12th Special Forces Brigade Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine announced this on Telegram.

The report says that the vehicles are mainly deployed to protect personnel from gunfire and drone strikes.
"For a long time, Novator has been participating in the most difficult tasks performed by the Azov soldiers and saving their lives by taking them out of the artillery fire and FPV drone strikes," the brigade wrote.
In July 2024, the Ukrainian company Ukrarmor handed over the first batch of Novator-2 armoured vehicles equipped with electronic warfare systems to the military. A month later, the Armed Forces of Ukraine handed over another batch of equipment to units stationed near Kursk, Russia.
"We took into account all the wishes of the National Guard. The armoured vehicle underwent almost a year of testing before it was put into production," explained Vladyslav Belbas, CEO of the company, during the first delivery.

"The Novator-2 is a 7-metre-long vehicle that can carry up to 10 people and approximately 1845 kilograms of cargo. The vehicle is based on the Ford F-550 and is equipped with bulletproof glass and a waterproof winch. The Novator-2 has four-wheel drive and a 7-litre Ford V8 Super diesel engine with 300 horsepower, which provides a top speed of 140 kilometres per hour and a range of up to 500 kilometres.
