DPRK destroys parts of two roads leading to South Korea without warning

On 15 October, the DPRK blew up sections of the inter-Korean road on the border with South Korea. The decision was made without warning and caused concern among the South Korean military.

Here's What We Know

There is also information that the DPRK dismantled road lighting on its side and installed mines along the roads, as well as deployed troops. Probably to build anti-tank barriers and strengthen the border near the demilitarised zone.

As a reminder, North Korea has put its artillery units on full alert near the border with South Korea and strengthened its air defence. Such measures were taken allegedly because of the possible penetration of South Korean drones.
