Adobe continues to develop the capabilities of its photo editors and introduces artificial intelligence, including generative intelligence.

The developer announced new features for Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere Pro.

Photoshop Remove Tool has added a new Distraction Removal feature - it automatically detects objects that can be removed by the user and gets rid of them with a single click. This feature is already available in the computer version and web application of Photoshop.

Photoshop users have the opportunity to choose when removing objects in images - what AI they use: generative (Firefly from Adobe) or not generative. In addition, there is also the possibility of automatic selection depending on the particular image.

The Generative Fill, Generative Expand, Generate Similar and Generate Background tools are now publicly available and have been updated to the latest Firefly Image 3. The developer states that after the update the programmes will help to create even more diverse and photorealistic images, in addition, their response to the request and complex user prompts will become even more responsive.

The following innovations have been introduced in Adobe Illustrator:

  • Objects on Path will allow users to quickly connect, place, and move objects along any path shape;
  • Mockup is now available to all users and will make it easier to work with 3D models;
  • Image Trace, which converts JPEG, PNG, PSD and other images into scalable vectors.
