Japanese games out of competition - Dragon Ball: Sparking ZERO and Metaphor: ReFantazio topped Steam's weekly sales chart

Steam's weekly sales chart once again surprises with unexpected leaders: anime fighting game Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, which had practically no advertising campaign, achieved a huge success.

Here's What We Know

As we already reported, sales of Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO only for the first day exceeded 3 million copies, which made it the most profitable game of the week on Steam.

On the second place was another Japanese novelty - highly appreciated JRPG Metaphor: ReFantazio from the creators of popular Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series. "One of the best games of the year" - critics rave about JRPG Metaphor: ReFantazio. The authors of Persona have outdone themselves! and became, without exaggeration, the main release of 2024 for fans of this genre.

The third place goes to EA SPORTS FC 25 football simulator. The remake of the cult horror Silent Hill 2 shows itself perfectly, which was extremely well liked by gamers and critics and became a worthy reincarnation of the legendary game.

It is impossible not to mention an interesting novelty Liar's Bar from Turkish studio Curve Animation. This is a co-operative gambling simulator, in which the main characters are creepy anthropomorphic animals. The game was released in early access on 2 October and has received very positive reviews.

The full list of the top ten most profitable Steam titles from 8 to 15 October looks like this:

  1. Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO
  2. Metaphor: ReFantazio
  3. EA SPORTS FC 25
  4. Silent Hill 2
  5. Steam Deck
  6. Diablo IV

  8. Liar's Bar
  9. Detroit: Become Human
  10. TCG Card Shop Simulator
