Huawei is gearing up to launch a new Mate 70 smartphone that can support two operating systems, HarmonyOS Next and Android.

HarmonyOS Next, the new version of Huawei's operating system, is completely independent and will not support Android-based apps. This makes it faster and more efficient for users in China. However, for the global market, Huawei plans to include support for Android apps so that users can continue to download and use familiar services such as Gmail and YouTube, despite US sanctions banning pre-installation of Google Mobile Services.
