Samsung is already testing the new mid-budget Galaxy A36 smartphone in Geekbench

Samsung has started working on new mid-range smartphones, and the Geekbench database is already testing the Galaxy A36.

Here's What We Know

The device with model number SM-A336B has appeared in the Geekbench database with a single-core performance score of 1042 points and multi-core performance score of 3051 points. The smartphone will run on Android 15 and will get the One UI 7.0 shell. The Galaxy A36 being tested has an 8-core processor with four high-performance cores at 2.4GHz and four energy-efficient cores at 1.8GHz, along with an Adreno 710 GPU.

It could be a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip made using 4nm process technology, which is likely to improve battery life compared to the 5nm Exynos 1380 chip of its predecessor. The Galaxy A36 will have 6GB of RAM and is likely to get an 8GB RAM version as well.

The new smartphone is expected to get no less than a 6.6-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, improved cameras compared to the A35 model, and will also retain stereo speakers, IP67 protection and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. The Galaxy A36 is likely to get 6 major Android updates like the recently announced Galaxy A16, making Android 21 its latest software version.
