Development of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii "is going better than expected"

As we wrote earlier, Sega and developer Ruy Ga Gotoku announced during the Xbox Partner Preview that Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be released a week earlier than planned, namely on 21st February. The head of the studio gave an official comment on this matter.

Here's What We Know

Masayoshi Yokoyama explained that this is due to the fact that the development is progressing better than expected and to avoid a clash with Monster Hunter Wilds, which will be released on 28 February:

"We have decided to bring forward the release date by a week to February 21, 2025. Of course, this is partly because development is progressing more smoothly than expected, but we also wanted to deliver the game to players around the world as soon as possible. We wanted you to be able to play the game that comes after it, with peace of mind. With the support of everyone involved at Sega, both internal and external, we have been able to make this a reality".

Where To Play

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be available to play on Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
