Everyone to the bottom! The debut trailer of Subnautica 2 underwater survival simulator has been unveiled
Unknown Worlds Entertainment studio presented the debut trailer of Subnautica 2 - sequel of the famous survival simulator in the underwater world of an uncharted planet.
Here's What We Know
The colourful and atmospheric trailer didn't reveal any details of the game, but it showed that the general style of Subnautica hasn't changed: players are expected to travel along the seabed, where they will meet both harmless inhabitants and creepy monsters from the dark depths.
We've been hard at work laying the groundwork for the next instalment of Subnautica. Our goal has always been to give early access to as many players as possible in order to develop the project together with our fans. That's why we are proud to announce that the early access version of Subnautica 2 will be available via Game Pass subscription from day one.
The developers noted that players don't have to play through the first game to understand the events of Subnautica 2, but old fans will see a lot of nice references, although the sequel's plot will unfold on another planet.
Unknown Worlds cites a four-player co-op mode as one of the main innovations.
When We Can Expect It
Subnautica 2 will be released in Early Access 2025 on PC (Steam) and Xbox Series.
The developers are asking to add the game to your wishlist.
