Oppo has announced ColorOS 15 based on Android 15
Oppo has unveiled a new version of its ColorOS 15 shell, based on Android 15, ahead of the launch of its flagship Find X8 series.
Here's What We Know
The update includes a new design with updated icons, dynamic lighting effects and natural light and shadow elements. The Aurora and Tidal Engine allows app animations to run in parallel, providing smooth and responsive transitions.
ColorOS 15 also includes improved motion effects and system-level optimisations, resulting in an 18% improvement in application responsiveness and a 26% faster installation process. An important new feature is the separation of the notification shade and control centre.
Artificial intelligence plays a significant role in ColorOS 15. The XiaoBu assistant can be invoked on any screen for natural conversations and contextual queries. Image processing has been improved with the ability to remove objects and blur and zoom images. The notes app can now format and summarise notes, while the voice recorder can now transcribe and summarise recordings.
ColorOS 15 will come pre-installed on the Find X8 and OnePlus 13 devices in China, with the update for the rest of the models starting in November.
