Ukraine plans to lift ban on arms exports to partner countries

During an interview with Ukrainian journalists, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he had instructed the relevant ministries to develop proposals for arms exports.

Here's What We Know

According to Zelenskyy, he asked the Minister of Defence to think about possible export models. In particular, he is considering the sale of Ukrainian weapons to countries that are part of the Ramstein format for assisting Ukraine.

"I rule out exporting (weapons) to someone, and then they end up in Russia. That's the first story. The second story is that this should only happen among the Ramstein circle. With all due respect to the Middle Eastern countries and others, I do not believe that we have the right to export to those who did not help us," the President said.

He added that the Ukrainian government is already developing a plan to raise additional funds for the purchase of domestically produced weapons. Therefore, some manufacturers who complain about insufficient orders now "need to wait".
