Insider: the Pixel 9a smartphone will be taller and wider than the Pixel 8a
Google is gearing up to launch a new affordable "a"-series smartphone, the Pixel 9a, which, according to leaks, will be taller and wider than its predecessor, the Pixel 8a.
Here's What We Know
According to a well-known insider @OnLeaks, the new device will measure 154.7 x 73.2 x 8.9 mm, which is slightly larger compared to the Pixel 8a, which measures 152.1 x 72.7 x 8.9 mm. The Pixel 9a is expected to get a slightly larger OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and will be available in four colours: porcelain, obsidian, peony and iris.
Oh, by the way... It appears the #Google #Pixel9a dimensions I revealed three weeks ago were not 100% accurate since I recently received updated data which are a very tiny little bit different with 154.7 x 73.2 x 8.9mm (9.4mm including the slim rear camera ring)... pic.twitter.com/qZvYptiwR9

Supposedly the smartphone will be powered by a Tensor G4 processor and Android 15 operating system. Camera features could include popular options like Magic Eraser and Photo Unblur. The Pixel 9a is expected to go on sale in mid-March 2025 at a price of around $500-550. This early launch is likely due to the planned release of the Pixel 10 in August 2025, allowing Google to avoid competing with other major releases in the autumn.
