The Blackmagic Camera app for iPhone has received a major update. The new version 2.1 now supports Camera Control for iPhone 16, allowing users to easily control zoom, exposure, focus, and ISO.

The update also adds new bitrate options for video recording, allowing for higher quality without the need for the ProRes codec. Users can now launch the app from the Control Centre or lock screen, and have access to compatible DockKit accessories.

Other new features include improved timecode accuracy, the ability to record at limited speeds with audio, and more stable HDMI monitoring.

Blackmagic Camera is available for free in the App Store for iPhone XR and later with iOS 17.

This app is developed by the same company as the popular video editing software DaVinci Resolve.
