The Nintendo Switch 2 could be unveiled as early as this week - insiders believe the Japanese company can't delay the announcement any longer

With only a few days left until the end of October, the Nintendo Switch 2 presentation announced by insiders still hasn't happened.

But the Japanese giant may still be gearing up for an important announcement later this week.

Here's What We Know

Two reputable insiders confirm that this week, Nintendo will finally unveil its new console.

A blogger under the nickname Brazil is confident that Switch 2 will be unveiled today or tomorrow. He has come to this opinion for two reasons: On 5 November there will be a shareholders' meeting where the company needs to show at least something new, and the Switch 2 announcement could be it.

Brazil's second thesis is that there are several high-profile new releases coming out in November that could perfectly complement the Nintendo Switch 2 game catalogue, or even get special versions for the new consoles.

Insiders believe that Nintendo can't delay the announcement much longer, as they currently have several big games scheduled for release, in addition to Metroid Prime 4 and Donkey Kong Country Returns. Brazil emphasised this situation by saying, "They can't come to a shareholder meeting without presenting anything... Unless they are absolute lunatics, they will announce it in advance."
