Xiaomi launches 15 Pro: a flagship with Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 6100 mAh battery, triple 50-megapixel camera, and satellite connectivity
Today, on 29 October, Xiaomi has unveiled its new flagship, the Xiaomi 15 Pro. This smartphone is equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and a 6100 mAh battery.

Xiaomi 15 Pro is a replacement for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and competes with other flagships on the market.
The new smartphone has a large 6.73-inch display with a 1440p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen brightness reaches a peak of 3200 nits, which is 200 nits more than its predecessors.
Durable Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0, which provides 25-30% better drop resistance.
However, wired charging power has been reduced from 120W to 90W, but wireless charging remains at 50W.
Xiaomi 15 Pro camera
The camera system of Xiaomi 15 Pro is the main highlight. It features a triple Leica camera with a 50MP main sensor (Sony LYT900, 1/1.3″, f/1.44 aperture, OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor (Samsung S5KJN1, f/2.2) and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens (Sony IMX858, OIS).
The periscope camera has a 5x optical zoom and 10x lossless zoom, enhanced by Xiaomi's ultra-transparent ALD coating and Leica optics for improved image clarity. It also features UltraZOOM-20X to capture more detail.
The front camera is a 32-megapixel OmniVision OV32B40 sensor that delivers high quality selfies.
The device runs on Xiaomi's latest HyperOS 2 operating system.
Availability.
The Xiaomi 15 Pro is currently only available in China, where it starts at 5299 yuan (approximately $742). The version with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage will cost 6699 yuan (about $911). It is not yet known whether this smartphone will appear on the global market.
