144Hz screen, 8850mAh battery and powerful Snapdragon processors: Xiaomi has unveiled its new Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro tablets
At today's event in China, apart from the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro flagships, Xiaomi announced two new tablets - the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro.
Here's What We've Seen
Both devices feature an 11.2-inch LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 3200x2136 pixels, 3:2 aspect ratio and 144Hz refresh rate. The maximum brightness of the display reaches 800 nits.
The Pad 7 is powered by Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset, while the Pad 7 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Also from the differences, the Pad 7 Pro has Wi-Fi 7 support while the regular Pad 7 has Wi-Fi 6 support. Both tablets have an 8,850mAh battery, but the Pad 7 supports up to 45W charging while the Pro has up to 67W. The cameras are also different: The Pad 7 has a 13-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front camera, while the Pro has a 50-megapixel rear and 32-megapixel front camera. Both models support a stepless keyboard with 0 ~ 124° angle adjustment, which has adaptive key backlighting.
The Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro have a metal body and run HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15. The tablets are available in 8/128GB, 8/256GB and 12/256GB configurations, while the Pro has a 12/512GB version. The dimensions of the devices are identical: 251.22 x 173.42 x 6.18 mm and weigh 500g. The tablets will be available in black, green and blue colours. The Pad 7 starts at $280 in China, while the Pad 7 Pro starts at $350.
