Samsung could unveil the new One UI 7.0 in just a few weeks' time

In early October, at the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) 2024 in the US, Samsung did not unveil the design and features of the new One UI 7.0. Instead, it was announced that the One UI 7.0 beta programme will be launched before the end of the year, and the company is now expected to announce it at SDC 2024 in South Korea in November.

Here's What We Know

Samsung has announced that it will hold the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) 2024 in South Korea on 21 November. The event will feature key figures from the company, including Jeon Kyung-hoon, president and CTO of DX Division, Samsung Electronics, and Jeong Jae-yeon, vice president of Samsung Device Platform Centre. They will discuss Samsung's advances in communications, data processing, generative AI, Internet of Things, healthcare and software platforms such as One UI and Tizen. Samsung is expected to unveil the design and features of One UI 7.0 and open a beta programme to test the new version of the interface.

The conference will also include 29 sessions on developing generative AI models for Galaxy devices, the future of healthcare, and integrating Matter with the SmartThings platform. Jinmin Jeong, vice president and head of Samsung's Research Innovation Centre, said there will be more presentations from Samsung developers this year, strengthening the software ecosystem through sharing experiences with other developers.
