New MacBook Pro has improved display brightness for outdoor and dark environments
Apple has presented new MacBook Pro models that are ahead of their predecessors in terms of display quality.
Here's What We Know
The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro now offer a maximum brightness level of 1000 nits for normal images and video. This significantly improves visibility in bright sunlight. By comparison, previous models had a maximum brightness of only 600 nits.
Users can also use apps like Vivid to get HDR brightness of up to 1000 nits in full screen mode. However, keep in mind that this will reduce battery life.
The new MacBook Pro can lower the brightness to one nit in low light, which is an improvement over previous models that had a minimum brightness of two nits.
Brightness levels for HDR content remain unchanged. The new models are already available for pre-order and will be available on 8 November.
