Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 6000 mAh battery and IP68/69 protection: The new OnePlus 13 flagship has been unveiled in China
After various leaks and rumours, OnePlus has finally unveiled its new OnePlus 13 flagship smartphone.
Here's What We Know
The smartphone, as before, is made of metal and glass, but already has a flat side frame and a flat display, compared to its predecessor. The camera unit is also round in shape, but is no longer connected to the side frame.
The device is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and is available in 12GB, 16GB and 24GB (LPDDR5X) RAM variants. The inbuilt storage ranges from 256GB to 1TB (UFS 4.0). The smartphone has a 6.82-inch BOE X2 AMOLED display with a resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels, an adaptive refresh rate of 1 to 120Hz and a maximum brightness of 4,500 nits.
The OnePlus 13 gets a 6,000mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging, 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging. There are 3 cameras on the back: a 50 MP Sony LYT-808 main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide camera and a 50 MP periscopic telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The front camera has a 32 MP resolution.
The smartphone runs on Android 15 with OxygenOS 15 shell. Other features worth mentioning include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, Rain Touch 2.0 feature that allows you to use the screen in wet conditions and full IP68/69 water and dust protection. The smartphone measures 162.9 x 76.5 x 8.5mm and weighs 213 grams. In China, the OnePlus 13 will be available in three colours: blue, white and black, with prices starting at 4,499 yuan (about $632). Global pricing will be announced at a later date.
