Google introduces Gemini chatbot for Google Maps search

Google has announced new Gemini features for the Google Maps app.

Here's What We Know

The main innovations include weather reports that will allow users to receive up-to-date information in real time. Detailed driving maps will also be available to provide more accurate routes.

Waze's Conversational Reporting feature allows users to verbally report traffic incidents, making it easier to access important information about the road situation.

Users will be able to ask natural questions through Ask Maps, such as "what to do with friends tonight" and receive recommendations. The application will present a carousel of places with ratings and reviews, which will make it easier to choose places to visit.

The new Ask Maps About This Page feature allows you to ask specific questions, such as about the atmosphere or dress code of a place. Answers will be accompanied by images and links to reviews.

Gemini features will be launched in the US this week and will be available on Google Search in the future. In addition, the Immersive View feature, which allows you to virtually explore new places, is expanding to 150 cities, including Brussels and Kyoto.
