The new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip could really overheat Galaxy S25 smartphones
The recently announced Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, which will be used in one or all of the Galaxy S25 smartphones, could face overheating issues in these devices.
Here's What We Know
Initial tests of the recently unveiled Realme GT7 Pro based on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip showed that the device heats up a lot when running graphics benchmarks. In the 3DMark stress test, the phone reached a temperature of 46 degrees Celsius and issued warnings about overheating. In some cases, the device even stopped working, allowing only to make calls.
Despite this, in normal conditions such as gaming and everyday tasks, the Realme GT7 Pro showed stable performance. However, these results raise concerns that the Galaxy S25 Ultra equipped with this chip could also face similar issues. Samsung needs to pay special attention to the cooling system to avoid overheating and ensure stable performance of its new flagship devices.
