Apple launches free repair programme for iPhone 14 Plus due to camera issues
Apple has announced a new service programme for iPhone 14 Plus sold between 10 April 2023 and 28 April 2024. The programme is aimed at fixing an issue related to the lack of preview from the rear camera, which affects a "very small percentage" of devices.
Here's What We Know
iPhone 14 Plus owners can check if their device falls under the programme by entering their serial number on Apple's dedicated page. The programme is valid for three years from the date of original purchase of the device. During this period, Apple will fix the problem free of charge if the phone has no other damage.
If the problem has already been fixed, users can request a refund, provided the repair was done at an Apple authorised service centre. Owners of eligible devices can choose from several service options: find an Apple Authorised Service Provider, make an appointment at an Apple retail shop, or contact Apple Support to arrange for the smartphone to be delivered to a repair service by mail.
