Garmin releases beta 13.60 for Forerunner 245, Forerunner 745 and Forerunner 945 with battery bug fixes

Garmin has announced the release of beta software version 13.60 for the Forerunner 245, Forerunner 745 and Forerunner 945 smartwatches.

Here's What We Know

This update is intended to fix a bug that appeared after the previous beta version 13.40. It incorrectly displayed the battery level, which was misleading to users.

After the update to 13.40, many owners of these watches experienced difficulties with the accuracy of the battery indication. For example, one Forerunner 945 user noticed a sharp drop in the battery level of 90% after 12 hours of use, followed by a sudden jump to 80% when connected to a charger. Garmin emphasises that the watch should last up to two weeks on a single charge in smartwatch mode.

Beta version 13.60 is available to at least 20% of users, although the exact date of the rollout has not yet been announced. Users can update the software themselves by going to the watch's settings menu.
