Analyst: don't expect Switch 2 announcement before the end of 2024 - Nintendo won't divert customers' attention during the most active trading period

Gamers have been waiting for a long time for the presentation of a new console from Nintendo. Insiders said that the device will be presented in October, but it did not happen.

Today, the company published a financial report, in which it once again confirmed that the console will be presented "by the end of the current fiscal year" (until 31 March 2025).

We could hope that the presentation will still take place in November or December, but even this is almost no chance.

Here's What We Know

Toyo Securities analyst Hideki Yasuda believes that gamers may not expect a Nintendo Switch 2 presentation until the end of 2024. He is sure that now is not the best time for such announcements and the company will not divert the attention of buyers of the new console on the eve of the winter holidays, as it is this season is traditionally the maximum sales of games and devices.

Recall, according to media reports, Nintendo originally planned to release Switch 2 in late 2024, but then postponed the launch to early 2025 to have time to prepare a strong line-up of games and produce more consoles and avoid shortages.
