Garmin unveils Tread 2: a new navigation device for extreme conditions with music and off-road support

Garmin has introduced the new Tread 2 navigation system, designed for use in extreme weather and off-road conditions. This is a device for motorcyclists that provides high stability and wide functionality.

Here's What We Know

The Tread 2 features a 6-inch colour screen with a 1280 x 720 resolution for easy reading in the sun. The operating time at maximum brightness is up to 5 hours, and at low brightness - up to 7 hours. The device is certified to MIL-STD-810, IPX7 and IP6X standards, which guarantees protection against water and dust.

The system supports map storage on 64 GB of internal memory and via a microSD slot. Tread 2 includes 3D terrain maps and road maps, and supports the integration of snowmobile routes in Sweden, Finland and Norway. A subscription is required to access the premium maps.

The device also supports music control via smartphone and is compatible with dog tracking devices. The price of the Garmin Tread 2 is $699.99.
