Critics have praised the unusual strategy game Empire of the Ants and praised it for its interesting setting and excellent graphical execution
Tomorrow (7 November) will be the release of the unusual strategy game Empire of the Ants, based on the novel "Ants" by Bernard Werber.
Critics got acquainted with the game and published their reviews, which allow you to find out the first opinion.
Here's What We Know
Critics have warmly welcomed Empire of the Ants. They honestly admit that as a real-time strategy novelty from Microids does not stand out among competitors in the genre with unusual mechanics and complex gameplay, but the unusual setting, impressive graphics and excellent technical performance cause admiration.
Experts note simple and clear control, great music accompaniment and bright visual style of the game.
As a result, Empire of the Ants received the following scores:
- Opencritic - 79 points with 65% recommendation;
- Metacritic - from 76 to 85 points depending on the platform.
As a reminder, the gamer will have to become 103,683 ants to help his colony conquer a new habitat, protect the Queen and the younger generation, and provide the anthill with resources and building materials.
The player will have to make alliances with other insects, wage war against the enemy colony, enlist the help of bugs and snails. In Empire of the Ants there are elements of strategy, but the player directly controls only 103,683 ants, and he can give orders to his allies only during the battle.
In addition to the story campaign, Empire of the Ants offers the possibility to fight with other players in online battles, and they seem to be exciting.
When We Can Expect It
Empire of the Ants will be released on 7 November on PC (Steam, GOG, EGS), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
