Apple has released the first public beta versions of iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2, which include new AI-based features.

Here's What We Know

The update includes Apple Intelligence, including Image Playground, an app for creating images from text prompts that is integrated into Messages, Notes, and Freeform.

It also includes the Genmoji feature, which allows users to generate emojis based on text and images.

Siri is now integrated with ChatGPT. If the voice assistant is unable to answer a request, it will offer to send it to ChatGPT, and no ChatGPT account is required.

New features for the iPhone 16 include Visual Intelligence, which allows the camera to detect objects around it, read text aloud, and copy information for further processing.

The update also supports localised English in several countries, but there is a waiting list for some features, such as Genmoji.
