AI will help TSMC increase semiconductor production by 22% by the end of 2024

Semiconductors are often referred to as the "gold of the 21st century" - they have become indispensable in many industries. That is why the countries that were the first to realise their importance are now experiencing rapid economic growth.

The undisputed leader in chip production is Taiwan, and more than half of the world's production is provided by TSMC, and among its customers are technology giants Apple and NVIDIA.

Here's What We Know

TSMC is already a leader in the semiconductor market, but the company is not stopping there and is actively using modern technologies to increase production.

TSMC senior vice president Cliff Hou said that by the end of 2024 the company expects to increase production of semiconductors by 22%, therefore, the turnover will reach 164 billion U.S. dollars per year. The Taiwanese manufacturer expects to achieve this result thanks to the active use of AI, which will help to maximise workflow optimisation and reduce costs wherever possible.
