How many long-range Neptune missiles has Ukraine produced and how fast is production developing?

In his address on Saturday, 9 November, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that this year the Ukrainian defence industry managed to produce a lot of weapons, including missiles.

Zelenskyy highlighted Ukraine's success in the production of missile weapons, noting that more than one hundred units were produced this year.

Although no details were disclosed, the context suggests that these are long-range missiles capable of striking hundreds of kilometres away - a valuable weapon for hitting targets in Russia.

According to rough estimates, the rate of production could be around 10 missiles per month, although in recent months this figure may have increased to 15-20 missiles.

However, these rates are not yet comparable to Russia's missile production, but the noticeable progress indicates consistent work in this direction.

Among the most likely missile variants in question is the Neptune cruise missile in a land-based version. Given the use of this missile by the Ukrainian Navy for long-range strikes, its production could be a priority.

Recent examples of the use of such weapons include the destruction of a warehouse with Russian-Iranian Shahed drones in Krasnodar Krai in September, as well as the destruction of the Conroe Trader.

All of this demonstrates the ability of the Ukrainian Defence Forces to strike critical targets at long distances, which is key to the current defence strategy.
