Thanks to the first videos with the disassembly of the new Mac mini models with M4 and M4 Pro chips, an interesting and important nuance has become known.
Here's What We Know
It turns out that in the current version of Mac mini you can replace the SSD-drive yourself, but this process will require certain skills. So, if it used to be soldered into the board, now the SSD-drive is built into the SoC and to replace it - you need to disassemble the device and, importantly, then successfully assemble it.
The ability to replace the SSD is not a revolutionary solution, as Apple has previously provided this option to Mac Studio and Mac Pro users.
