Porsche fills the gaps in the Taycan range: the new Taycan GTS and the entry-level version of the Taycan 4
If you've had your eye on a Porsche Taycan but still haven't found 'the one' version, it could be due to a gap in the model's line-up - until recently, there was no intermediate version between the Taycan 4S and Taycan Turbo. For those who want the drive of all-wheel drive but aren't necessarily looking for extreme power, Porsche has finally offered new Taycan variants, including an updated Taycan GTS and an all-new entry-level variant, the Taycan 4.
Porsche Taycan GTS
The updated Taycan GTS is the same model that filled the gap between the Taycan 4S and the Turbo. It was already available before the facelift and, much to the delight of potential Porsche buyers, it returns in an updated form. Built on the 4S, the Taycan GTS features increased power and torque, improved dynamic performance and original design elements. All GTS models are all-wheel drive, adding confidence on the road.
In technical terms, the Taycan GTS is currently one of the best options in the range. The powertrain produces up to 700bhp. - This power is available when the overboost function is switched on for 10 seconds. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 3.3 seconds and to 200 km/h takes 10.4 seconds.
Despite its sporty attitude, the Taycan GTS offers a range of up to 628 kilometres in the sedan version (Sport Turismo version is also available). The GTS is equipped with adaptive air suspension and Porsche Torque Vectoring in the base version, and optionally with the advanced Porsche Active Ride system.
New base Taycan 4: all-wheel drive for reasonable money
Alongside the GTS update, Porsche is launching the Taycan 4, an entry-level all-wheel drive version. It's essentially an equipment version of the base Taycan Cross Turismo, but in a saloon body. The Taycan 4 has 408bhp in the base version and up to 435bhp when an extended battery is ordered.
Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 4.6 seconds - 0.2 seconds faster than the rear-wheel drive Taycan. WLTP range is up to 559 kilometres. The Performance Battery Plus version increases this to 643 kilometres.
The new versions of the Porsche Taycan are already available for order in European markets. The first deliveries are expected in early 2025.
