Garmin may add new Rucking activity to its smartwatches

It has been reported that Garmin may add a new activity called Rucking to some of its smartwatches.

Here's What We Know

This activity, which originates from military training, involves walking with a heavy backpack and helps to improve the cardiovascular system and strengthen the back.

Users will be able to track the weight of the backpack, which will improve training analysis compared to existing modes such as Hiking and Running. In addition, the watch will be able to record distance, pace, and the impact of exercise on overall fitness metrics like VO2 Max.

Garmin has not yet officially confirmed this news, but rumours point to a possible release of the new feature this year. Rucking is expected to be available for rugged models like the Instinct 2.
