Just two years ago, we reported that a standalone Gemini chatbot app for iOS was being tested in the Philippines.

Well, an official announcement from Google didn't have to wait long!

Here's What We Know

Google announced and immediately released the Gemini app for iPhone and iPad.

Everyone can already download the Gemini AI assistant in the App Store.

The program can answer questions, provide information, write texts, help with routine tasks, create images and analyse screenshots, in short, supports the full functionality that is available on Android.

In addition, there is also support for the conversational version of Gemini Live, which was not available on iOS, even in the Google app.
