Updating the legend: A modern version of the legendary DW-5000C from 1983, the Casio G-Shock DW-5000R-1AJF is set to launch

At the end of November 2024, the Casio G-Shock DW-5000R-1AJF will be released in Japan - a modern version of the legendary DW-5000C from 1983, which started the history of the G-Shock.

Here's What We Know

The watch will have a modern Super Illuminator backlight, an automatic calendar until 2099, an alarm clock, a stopwatch, and water resistance up to 200 metres. Power will be provided by a CR2016 battery with a service life of up to five years.

This model is part of Casio's DW-5000C heritage campaign. Details about the new product first appeared online thanks to leaks on forums and social media.

Currently, the release is planned only for Japan, and there is no confirmation of global sales yet.
